Behind the Podium: Crafting Glory at Ard Rock Enduro

Ard Rock is the UK’s biggest mountain bike event, held annually in the Swaledale area of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, UK. Having begun way back in 2013, it’s well known for its challenging yet fun alpine-style trails, epic festival atmosphere, and welcoming community of riders. It brings together riders from all over the country who want to try their hand at some challenging trails.

Each event takes advantage of the local area’s rugged, downhill terrain. The events have several stages, each set up to test the riders in a unique and fun way,  ensuring that the weekend keeps them on their toes.

The event is made up of multiple events, including the Ard Rock Enduro, a special 45km loop designed for the more competent riders, an intro enduro, which is a 30km loop designed for first-timers to the festival, as well as a Sprint Enduro a 30km loop which takes in the steepest and most technical stages of the festival. There is something for everyone at Ard Rock.

We have worked with Ard Rock since 2016, designing and making all the trophies and medals they have used since then. We have worked closely with them to create awards reflecting what Ard Rock represents—fun awards worth winning. Over the years, we have developed various awards, each unique to that year’s event and each capturing the spirit of Ard Rock.

We have crafted awards for their Ard Rock and Ard Moors events; each award has been designed and manufactured at our headquarters in North Yorkshire. Over the years, the awards have been made from various materials, including stainless steel, slate and wood. We created the 2023 medals from laser-cut stainless steel with laser-etched detail and custom Ard Rock ribbon.

These aren’t just trophies; they’re a mark of achievement, destined to stand out on any shelf, a lasting reminder of the weekend’s events and the trials they have had to overcome.
